COVID-19

We are now open for emergency, routine and preventative care by appointment only.

As of May 7th, the San Mateo County and California Health Department have provided us with guidelines on getting back to work. In accordance with these guidelines, we have implemented extreme measures and protocols to ensure the safety and protection of our patients and staff. Please understand that these are necessary measures to keep our patients and staff safe. As the Covid-19 pandemic crisis is resolved, we will slowly transition to a more normalized dental care environment. As we reopen, we request that you adhere to these protocols and to help keep everyone safe. Call us today at (650) 458-3727 if you have questions about our procedures or would like to reschedule your appointment for any reason.

Coronavirus: How dentists, patients are adjusting (San Francisco Chronicle, May 21, 2020)

Prior To Your Appointment

One of our staff members will be in touch with you either via phone call or text message to screen you for any symptoms or history of COVID-19. We ask that in the case you don't feel well, show signs of symptoms, have been in contact with anyone diagnosed or have a fever - contact us to reschedule or cancel your appointment.

Arriving To Our Office

Before you enter our office, there will be a station outside equipped with hand sanitizer and complimentary gloves. Please sanitize your hands and wear gloves to prevent any cross contamination. Please also arrive to our office with a mask and remove any non-essential items prior to arrival. For the time being, we are requesting that only patients arrive to the office. If you are a parent or guardian, we will have you check in and wait outside.

Upon arriving in our office, we will take your temperature with an infra-red thermometer. Once we have confirmed that you have no fever, we will check you in for your appointment and request that you wait outside until we are ready to treat you. Our waiting room and bathroom will be closed until further notice to avoid any contamination or risk of infection.  We will be operating at a reduced capacity to service patients due to the extra time it will take to properly sterilize and disinfect rooms after procedures.

Your Appointment

We have completely re-imagined our procedure rooms to reduce the risk and keep you safe. We have invested in equipment to mitigate aerosols and removed all non-essential items from our procedure rooms. Instruments will remain in sterile pouches until the start of the appointment.

Checking Out

Checking out will be streamlined and designed to reduce your time in the front office or having to touch any surfaces. We will request no cash payments for co-pays until further notice. Touchless credit card systems are available and are the preferred form of payment. We will provide a bin for you to dispose your gloves upon checkout.

Aerosol Mitigation

The most important thing we can do to protect ourselves and our patients is to reduce airborne particles by using continuous high volume evacuation. We have installed Isolite, the scientifically proven most effective aerosol mitigation system, in each procedure room. In addition to the Isolite system, we have invested in extra-oral high powered suction units to capture any aerosols generated. Hygiene appointments will be completed with hand instruments only until further notice.

Personal Protective Equipment

All assistants and clinicians will be equipped with extensive personal protective equipment including surgical gowns, N95 masks, face shields, head covers and gloves. Our staff will all be screened daily for symptoms and have our temperatures taken to ensure that you are in a safe space.

Our Commitment To You

Since 2016 we have been one of the leading dental  providers serving the San Francisco Bay Area. We take immense pride in the service, quality of work and overall experience that patients have grown accustomed to at our office. During these times, we strive to be leaders in our community and the dental industry and appreciate your support. Please know that we are doing everything possible to continue providing the highest level of care and are taking these extra precautions to ensure safety in our community.
